The Arizona Wildcats and the Duke Blue Devils face off on Friday in Madison Square Garden in college basketball action.
The Arizona Wildcats are off to a 6-0 start to the season and Sean Miller’s team is ranked third in the nation. Arizona has blown out most of their opponents but they are coming off of a four-point win against Drexel on Wednesday. Nick Johnson leads the Wildcats averaging 17.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and a block per game. Aaron Gordon is averaging 12.5 points and 9.5 rebounds, Brandon Ashley is averaging 10.7 points and 7.2 rebounds, and Gabe York is averaging 10 points. Arizona is averaging 81 points per game and they are shooting 51.8 percent while defensively they are allowing 58.3 points and their opponents 34 percent. With the Pac-12 coming up tough this season this is just one of many difficult games on Arizona’s schedule.

The Duke Blue Devils took a los to Kansas earlier this season in Chicago but since then they have reeled off five wins and are looking like a contender once again. Coach Mike Krzyewski has once again put together a strong roster built to play against the best in the nation. All-world freshman Jabari Parker is living up to the hype averaging 23.6 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.7 blocks per game to lead Duke. Rodney Hood is averaging 19.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.1 steals, Quinn Cook is averaging 13.4 points and 6.4 assists, and Rasheed Sulaimon is averaging 7.0 points. Duke is averaging 90 points and they are shooting 53.4 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 74 points per game and their opponents are shooting 44.5 percent. Duke isn’t as deep on the bench as they have been in recent years.
Arizona is 5-0 against the spread against the ACC, 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, and4-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread. Duke is 5-2 against the spread against the Pac-12, 9-4 against the spread in their last 13 neutral site games, and 4-9 against the spread against a team with a winning record.
Duke is missing the inside presence but the have huge advantage at coach and getting them as a dog is not something we get often. I am taking the points with Duke.
