The 14th-ranked Oregon Ducks eye their seventh straight victory when they host the Cal Poly Mustangs in the Global Sports Hardwood Challenge Sunday.

Oregon comes in undefeated and off a solid 91-76 showing at home over North Dakota Saturday, shooting a stellar 58 percent from the field to their opponent’s 40 percent and hitting 21 of 24 from the free throw line. The Ducks also connected on 4 of 10 from beyond the arc. Oregon led by as many as 20 points in the first half and went into the break with 49-32 advantage, but North Dakota chipped away at the lead  and hung around till late in the game, eventually trimming the lead  to 81-70 with 2:03 left. That was as close as North Dakota would get. Junior G Joseph Young finished with a team-high 23 points on 63 percent shooting and made 8 of 8 from the stripe. Senior F Mike Moser posted his 19th career double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds. Through six games, Oregon is averaging 88.6 ppg on 51 percent shooting and Young leads in scoring with 21.2 ppg on 55 percent from the floor and 40 percent from distance.

Scott Olmos-USA TODAY Sports

Cal Poly comes in with a record of 2-4 and a heartbreaking 73-71 loss to Pacific Saturday in the game’s final moments. Pacific G Tony Gill was fouled in the act of making a layup then hit the free throw to put the Tigers up 73-71 and win the game with less than 30 seconds remaining. Senior F Chris Eversley had a game-high 22 points and 12 rebounds on 50 percent shooting and connected on 3 of 8 from beyond the arc. The Mustangs shot 44 percent from the field, 40 percent from distance and hit 16 of 30 from the foul line. On the season, Cal Poly averages 62.8 ppg on 42 percent shooting and Eversley leads the team with 12.8 ppg on 38 percent from the floor.

The line for this game has Oregon favored by 13 and although the Ducks have faced just one solid team in Georgetown, Cal Poly is still way outmanned. Oregon covers.
