The Saint Joseph's Hawks meet the Washington State Cougars in the Old Spice Classic.
Washington State has played six games and has yet to find consistency on offense or defense with both tending to be up and down. Hence their 3-3 record after upending Purdue 69-54 where everything was clicking and is the type of performance the team would like to see more often. It didn't start out well with Purdue up by ten at the half before the Cougars roared back with their best 20 minutes of the year. WSU finished with 44.6% shooting with the Boilermakers checking in at 32.8% which meant six more field goals which was decisive. DaVonte Lacy paced the attack with 16 points with Jordan Railey and Royce Woolridge adding 13 points each while DJ Shelton scored 12points.

After getting waffled in the opening round of the Old Spice Classic by LSU, Saint Joseph's rebounded to take down Siena 78-66 in an almost leisurely contest in which they led throughout. The Hawks have leaned on their scoring in the early going and that trend continued versus the Saints with 52% marksmanship leading the way. The Hawks defended the shot well at 40% given up while sinking a couple more threes and holding a 20-14 edge at the foul line. Langston Galloway poured in 27 points with seven boards and five steals followed by a 19 point effort from Ronald Roberts while Halil Kanacevic with eleven points and six boards.
I don't really like laying points with Saint Joseph's who hasn't shown enough consistency in the early going. I would rather take a shot at the over then a side to be honest...
