The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers look for a rare road win when they travel to Bowling Green.
Western Kentucky has to be pleased with their 4-2 start with both defeats coming away from home. The Hilltoppers bounced back from a loss at Marshall to rout Eastern Illinois by a 68-53 count behind a 40 point second half that broke up a close game. The defense held the Panthers to 40% shooting with WKU sinking half their shots which turned out to be decisive with the home team owning advantages throughout. George Faint paced the attack with a game high 20 points and five pulls with TJ Price adding 13 points and grabbing another five rebounds while Kevin Kaspar chipped in with nine points.

Bowling Green is struggling at both ends of the floor and that has translated to the won/loss record. The offense is struggling to put points on the scoreboard which cost the Falcons a win in 63-56 loss to Oral Roberts. The Falcons were out scored 37-21 in the second half as a nine point lead heading to the locker room went by the wayside. BGSU hit at 41.8% with the Golden Eagles checking in at 45% with most other areas even except at the stripe where ORU sank six more attempts. Anthony Henderson and Spencer Parker each scored 12 points and combined for nine rebounds while Cameron Black added ten points and a game high 13 rebounds. The starting five accounted for all but six points in a seven man rotation.
Western Kentucky is in for a very long year if this is another season of road woes and I can't see a better place to turn that trend around then here but it probably won't be easy...
