Fourth-ranked Syracuse looks to remain unblemished when they host Indiana in the Big 10/ACC Challenege from the Carrier Dome Tuesday night.
The 7-0 Orange are coming off their most impressive win of the season, a 74-67 victory over then #18 Baylor in the Maui Invitational title game Friday. Senior F C.J. Fair scored a game-high 24 points on 10 of 17 shooting and made 2 of 3 from beyond the arc. Syracuse was outshot from the field 55 percent to 50 percent and from distance 47 percent to 33 percent, but took control of the game early and turned away several Baylor comeback bids to stay on top. The Bears got to within 68-62 behind a 10-2 run with a little over two minutes remaining, but Fair, named the tournament MVP, quickly answered with a jumper and Baylor would get no closer. Sophomore G Jerami Grant had 19 points on 8 of 12 shooting, while freshman G Tyler Ennis added 11 points and 9 assists on 36 percent from the floor and hit 2 of 3 from the line. Through seven games, the Orange are averaging 76.7 ppg on 45 percent from the field and Fair leads the team with 18 ppg on 44 percent shooting and 33 percent from distance.

Indiana, meanwhile, comes in at a record of 6-1 with its only loss coming against then #18 Connecticut in a tight 59-58 finish in the championship game of the 2K Sports Classic at Madison Square Garden Nov. 22. The Hoosiers dismantled Evansville 77-46 in their last outing behind a stellar defensive effort Thursday that kept the Aces to just 29 percent from the floor and 18 percent from beyond the arc. Sophomore F Jeremy Hollowell had a game-high 18 points on 4 of 8 shooting and hit 8 of 9 from the foul line. Indiana led by as many as 20 in the first half and never let Evansville within single digits the rest of the game. On the season, the Hoosiers are averaging 86.4 ppg on 46 percent shooting and sophomore G Yogi Ferrell leads the team with 18.1 ppg on 40 percent from the floor and 38 percent from distance.
The line in this one is currently set at -6 for Syracuse and this should be a really good matchup. The Orange had good wins over Baylor, Minnesota and Cal, while UConn has been the only real test for Indiana. Look for Syracuse to cover.
