The Delaware Blue Hens travel to the Joyce Center to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Delaware is supposed to be in the upper tier of the Colonial and I can see that if their offense keeps lighting up scoreboards but I also believe the defense will eventually have to tighten up. The offense was front and center in an 85-80 decision over Charleston Southern for win number three in a row. The Blue Hens converted shots at 45% from the floor with the Buccaneers hitting at 41% with the difference being Delaware's 11-22 from the perimeter out shining CSU and their 6-25 mark. Kyle Anderson poured in a game high 29 points and snagged five boards followed by Jarvis Threatt and his 18 point, five yank effort while Carl Baptiste and Davon Usher netted 17 points each and combined for 18 rebounds.

Notre Dame is looking to claw their way back in to the top 25 which is possible the way these guys shoot the basketball and light up the scoreboard. The defense has allowed points at times which is a direct result of the fast paced nature of their style with opponents shooting the ball well. In a 98-93 loss to Iowa the Hawkeyes burned the nets at 57% while ND hit at a not too shabby 51.5%. The Hawkeyes sank ten more free throws with the Irish staying close with ten more looks at the basket. Garrick Sherman led all scorers with 29 points and nine rebounds with Erick Atkins tossing in 23 while Jerian Grant added 13 points and handed out ten assists followed by a 12 point contribution from Pat Connaughton.
This is a tough spot for Delaware on the road made more difficult with Devon Saddler's suspension. The Hens chances of covering are not the best without him but as a Delaware homer I can't resist...
