The North Dakota Fighting Souix travel to the Stroh Center where the Bowling Green Falcons await.
North Dakota was considered a challenger in the Big Sky although their 2-5 record says different. Having said that the schedule has been tough with Oregon, Wisconsin and Butler. Butler defeated the Fighting Sioux 79-66 with a strong first half where they built a 17 point lead. The Bulldogs won the shooting battle 52%-38% and won the glass 40-25 which negated 17 turnovers to limit extra looks at the basket for North Dakota. The Fighting Sioux received 20 points and five pulls from star Troy Huff on 7-13 from the floor with Jaron Nash adding ten points while Cole Stefan chipped in with nine points.

At 3-5, the season hasn't begun as Bowling Green would have liked but the goal now is to get the ship pointed in the right direction with the MAC schedule on the horizon. The Falcons appeared to have Xavier on the ropes last time out and did but let them get off with a 85-73 overtime decision. The Musketeers were clearly the better shooting team at 55% which makes us wonder how the Falcons hung in there with 38% marksmanship. Eleven offensive rebounds and 15 more looks at the basket was the answer but the shots weren't falling. Richaun Holmes led all scorers with 26 points and nine rebounds with the duo of Jehvon Clarke and Anthony Henderson adding 13 points apiece with Clarke posting five helpers.
I'm not sure if North Dakota's schedule is not a factor in the numbers they have put up. If correct the Fighting Sioux might be closer to Bowling Green then the stats show so I'll take a shot with the points...
