The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Bryant Bulldogs face off on Wednesday in college basketball action.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are 8-0 and ranked third in the nation but they know as well as anyone there is still plenty of basketball to be played this season. OSU has played seven of their eight games at home this season and they have played the 166th ranked schedule in the country. Lenzelle Smith Jr. is averaging 12.1 points and 4.8 rebounds to lead the Buckeyes. LaQuinton Ross is averaging 11.4 points and 5.2 rebounds, Aaron Craft is averaging 10.6 points and 5.0 assists, and Amir Williams is averaging 10.4 points and 7.3 rebounds. Ohio State is averaging 74.6 points and they are shooting 47.7 percent while defensively they are allowing 54.5 points and their opponents are shooting 37.1 percent. Ohio State appears to have more depth than they have in several years.

The Bryant Bulldogs are 6-4 on the season but they have lost their last two games. Bryant put up a respectable performance against Notre Dame on Sunday but they came up 11 points short. Dyami Starks leads the Bulldogs averaging 22.1 points per game. Alex Francis is averaging 16.3 points and 6.2 rebounds, Joe O’Shea is averaging 9.8 points and 4.1 rebounds, and Corey Maynard is averaging 9.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.6 assists. Bryant are averaging 72.3 points and they are shooting 47.4 percent while defensively they are allowing 70.4 points and their opponents are shooting 44 percent. Bryant has played the 78th ranked schedule in the country and it gets significantly less difficult after this game.
Ohio State is 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games, 2-7 against the spread in their last nine home games, and 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 non-conference games. Bryant is 3-0-1 against the spread following a loss and 1-3-1 against the spread in their last five games overall.
I liked Bryant to cover against ND on Monday but I don’t see them to be able to do it here as Ohio State is just too much and they are gearing up for conference play and I like OSU big here.
