The Northern Illinois Huskies head to the Northeast to battle the Massachusetts Minutemen.
Northern Illinois stands at 3-4 through seven games but we could make an argument this team is better then their record indicates with three defeats coming by no more then five points. The Huskies put a close one in the win column with a 64-57 decision over visiting Dartmouth in which they made an eleven point lead at the break hold up. In a mistake filled contest where each team committed 16 turnovers the Huskies won with a huge 21-6 edge at the line. Darrell Bowie led a balanced attack with 12 points and seven boards followed by Jordan Threloff and Pete Rakocevic with 21 points with Threloff snaring another seven rebounds.

Massachusetts has climbed to #20 in the national rankings with the obvious goal of moving even higher. That won't be a problem if the Minutemen can keep throwing a ton of points up everytime they step on the basketball court. There was no better display of their scoring prowess then their 105-96shootout victory over Brigham Young. UMass burned the nets at 55.6% and the Cougars checked in at 48.5% with the boxscore fairly even elsewhere eccept on threes wher the Minutemen held a decisive 9-4 advantage.Chaz Williams tossed in a game high 32 points and handed out 15 assists with Sampson Carter tossing in 20 and Raphiael Putney 15. Maxie Esho checked in with 12 points and six pulls while Trey Davis and Derrick Gordon combined for 21 points and 12 helpers.
I don't see any chance of Northern Illinois pulling the upset and they probably get their doors blown off. I'm just not a fan of the big chalk coming off a big win so I'll back the points which I know is a stretch...
