The Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs visit Cameron Indoor to face the Duke Blue Devils.
I know Gardner-Webb hasn't played the toughest schedule in the world but they have performed well in my view. The Runnin' Bulldogs have won four of five following a 106-54 rout of Clearwater Christian with a 38 point lead at the break ending this from a competitive stand point. GW torched the nets at 70% from the floor whith the Cougars connecting at 35% which equated to 22 more field goals as the talent level was obviously huge. Tyrell Nelson tossed in a game high 20 points with Jerome Hill and Donta Harper adding 13 and 12 points while Michael Byron and Naji Hibbert netted ten points apiece.

It looks like 2013-14 will be another typical season for Duke which means another shot at the ACC crown and a high seed in the Big Dance. The Blue Devils showed no ill effects from their six point loss to Arizona by handing Michigan a 79-69 defeat to improve to 7-2. The shooting was close enough with Duke leading 50%-44.6% with the lone difference being an 8-3 advantage from beyond the arc. Quinn Cook paced the Blue Devils offense with 24 points and nine assists with Jabari Parker netting 15 points and snagging six boards followed by a 14 point, five rebound performance from Rodney Hood. Altogether nine players saw the floor and each found the scoring column.
The talent difference between Duke and Gardner-Webb is huge meaning the Blue Devils dictate the score. They cover if they want to and it's as simple as that...
