The Line: Tulane Green Wave +7.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Tulane Green Wave and the Washington Huskies face off on Tuesday in New Orleans in college basketball action.
The Tulane Green Wave are 5-5 on the season and they are coming off of a win that ended a five game losing streak. Tulane has plenty of scorers but their defense is lacking. Louis Dabney leads the Green Wave averaging 20.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Jay Hook is averaging 17.5 points and 7.0 rebounds, Jonathan Stark is averaging 17.1 points and 4.4 assists, and Trevante Drye is averaging 6.0 points and 7.5 rebounds. Tulane averages 71 points per game and they are shooting 42.9 percent while defensively they are allowing 75.2 points and their opponents are shooting 48.6 percent. Tulane looks like they are middle of the pack at best in Conference USA this season.

The Washington Huskies have won three of their last four games as it is looking like a rebuilding year. With UConn up next and the Pac-12 looking very tough Lorenzo Romar’s UW squad appears to have their work cut out for them. C.J. Wilcox leads the Huskies averaging 21.6 points per game. Andrew Andrews is averaging 13.2 points and 4.2 rebounds, Perris Blackwell is averaging 13 points and 8.5 rebounds, and Nigel Williams-Goss in averaging 13 points and 5.0 assists. Washington is averaging 81.9 points and they are shooting 43.9 percent while defensively they are allowing 82.1 points and their opponents are shooting 50.4 percent. Washington clearly has athletes but they will need to put it together in a hurry.
Tulane is 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 non-conference games, 2-6 against the spread in their last eight home games against a team with a losing road record, and 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 Tuesday games. Washington is 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 non-conference games, 1-6 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread, and 0-3-1 against the spread in their last four Tuesday games.
The Tulane defense is just non-existent and while this isn’t a great Washington team I like the Huskies here.
