The Line: James Madison Dukes -3.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The 3-8 James Madison Dukes welcome UNC-Greensboro to town for a non-conference battle.
James Madison broke a six game losing streak with a much needed win over High Point this past weekend 84-69. The Dukes put together one of their best shooting nights of the season and erased a 5 point halftime deficit by outscoring High Point by 20 in the second half. The Dukes shot it at a 55.1% clip for the game and shot it 80% from the line. Charles Cooke’s 25 points led all scorers and the Dukes got double digits from Semenov, Bessick and Curry as well. The Dukes eclipsed the 80 point mark for only the second time this season. JMU will return home for only their second home game of the year after their trip to UNC-Greensboro.

UNC-Greensboro fell below .500 this past week with an 89-72 loss to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. The Spartans were ice cold out of the gate and were down 20 before they knew it. While their shooting improved in the second half, the damage was already done as Rutgers forced 18 turnovers and took advantage of 25 Greensboro fouls by hitting 72% of their attempts from the charity stripe. Kyle Cain led the way with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Tevon Saddler added 13 for the Spartans. Saddler continues to show promise, averaging nearly 13PPG as a true freshman.
Some trends to consider -- JMU is 6-0 against the spread in their last 6 Wednesday games and UNC-Greensboro is 1-4-1 against the spread in their last 6 overall.
These two teams are pretty evenly matched but I have to give the advantage to the Spartans. JMU will certainly feature a rowdy crowd after so many road games this season but I like the combination of Tevon Saddler and Kyle Cain lead all scorers again as the Spartans pull back to .500 with the win and cover in Harrisonburg.
