The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Delaware Fightin Blue Hens face off on Wednesday Night in Columbus in college basketball action.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are undefeated and ranked third in the country, as they once again appear determined to make a run at the Final Four. While OSU lacks some of the star power of recent years this is one of the deeper teams they have had. Lenzelle Smith Jr. leads the Buckeyes averaging 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds. LaQuinton Ross is averaging 11.8 points, Amir Williams is averaging 9.9 points and 7.7 rebounds, and Aaron Craft is averaging 9.8 points and 5.1 assists. Ohio State is averaging 76.2 points and they are shooting 48.7 percent while defensively they are allowing 54.6 points and their opponents are shooting 36.6 percent. Ohio State has been pounding inferior completion recently.

The Delaware Fightin Blue Hens are 5-5 on the season and they have lost their last two games. This is the Hens second game against a top 25 team losing to Villanova by four points earlier this season. Davon Usher is averaging 18.1 points and 6.4 rebounds to lead the Blue Hens. Jarvis Threatt is averaging 17.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.0 assists, Kyle Anderson is averaging 15 points, and Carl Baptiste is averaging 11.9 points and 7.7 rebounds. Delaware is averaging 81.3 points and they are shooting 45.4 percent while defensively they are allowing 78.5 points and their opponents are shooting 46.2 percent. Delaware shoots over 37 percent from beyond the three-point arc but they have a huge issue with defense.
Ohio State is 4-1 against the spread in their lst five home games, 4-1 against the spread in their last five non-conference games, and 6-0 against the spread against the CAA. Delaware is 4-1 against the spread against a team with a winning percentage over .600 and 1-4 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread.
This is a big number but the Buckeyes have been covering and they aren’t going to meet much defensive resistance here.
