The Chattanooga Mocs head to Bartow Arena to face the Alabama-Birmingham Blazers.
It looks as if Chattanooga has a viable offense but it still hasn't been enough to overcome a porous defense which explains their record. The defense continued to struggle in an 87-71 loss to Northern Kentucky as a three point half time grew in to a rout over the final 20 minutes. The Norse didn't miss often at almost 67% while the Mocs 36% wasn't close to being enough. Martynas Bareika paced the Chattanooga attack with a game high 29 points on 7-14 shooting with Casey Jones adding ten points and seven rebounds. Ten players received floor time and nine scored overall.

Aside from an overtime loss to New Mexico and a poor showing at Temple, Alabama-Birmingham has been a solid club behind an offense that is churning out 79 points per contest. The Blazers have won four in a row following an 84-62 rout of Georgia Southern as they took a 20 point lead in to the break and never were challenged. UAB sank their shots at almost 49% while the defense clamped down on the Eagles who mustered only 32% from the floor which was game over with the Blazers totaling ten more field goals. Chad Frazier led a trio of double digit scorers with 19 points and six helpers with Jordan Swing and Robert Williams adding 12 and eleven points with each posting five pulls. Overall four others scored between 8-9 points with no shortage of production.
UAB is a pretty good team and they will win and if they play hard for a full 40 minutes then they should cover and won't if they ease up...
