Illinois Fighting Illini vs. Missouri Tigers Pick, Odds, Prediction 12/21/13

Bradley Leeb-USA TODAY Sports

The Illinois Fighting Illini are 9-2 on the season and are coming off of a tough loss at Oregon. Illinois has played the 127th ranked schedule in the country but before the season is over it should be one of the toughest in the nation. Rayvonte Rice is averaging 17.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game to lead the Illini. Tracy Abrams is averaging 11.5 points, Joseph Bertrand is averaging 10.7 points and 5.3 rebounds, and Jon Ekey is averaging 9.2 points and 6.4 rebounds. Illinois is averaging 71.5 points and they are shooting 44.8 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 60.5 points and their opponents are shooting 39.3 percent. Illinois looks tough to figure out right now but we will know plenty about them in a month or so.

Missouri is 4-1 against the spread against the Big Ten, 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, and 12-4-1 against the spread in their last 17 neutral site games. Illinois is 1-3-2 against the spread in their last six games, 3-0-1 against the spread in their last four neutral site games, and 2-9-1 against the spread in their last 12 Saturday games.

My free pick in this one is on the total and I will update this once the totals are posted. I also have a strong pick on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
