The George Washington Colonials shoot for a win at the Mack Sports Complex to face the Hofstra Pride.
Early on George Washington has some very strong numbers in most areas but the knock will be that they were built on a weak strength of schedule. Fair enough but that's better then weak numbers versus so, so competition. The Colonials won number five in a row with an easy 74-61 over UMBC with GW leading by eight after 20 minutes and holding serve the rest of the way. The Colonials won the marksmanship battle 53%-46% with five more free throws and a few more baskets getting the job done. Maurice Creek pumped in 22 points followed by Kethan Savage with 15 points and seven yanks while Kevin Larsen added 14 points and five boards.

Hofstra didn't get much ink in the CAA preseason polls so they will be out to prove people wrong. That basically means the offense has to get back on track. The Pride have dropped four of five following a 67-59 loss to Siena. The Pride never found the shooting touch at 34% with the Saints checking in with 44% which equated to a few more makes from the field which combined with a +5 at the line to win comfortably. Jamall Robinson carried the Hofstra offense with 16 points followed by the duo of Chris Jenkins and Dion Nesmith with eleven points apiece. Moussa Kone and Zeke Upshaw netted seven points apiece and combined for 14 rebounds as all eight members of the rotation scored.
George Washington has advantages in most areas and has blowout potential but Hofstra has been a decent cover team. I will take them as a home dog while admitting this is stepping out on a limb...
