The UIC Flames have lost their last two games and are 5-8 so far this season. Illinois Chicago has played the 188th ranked schedule and it will get slightly more difficult after they begin Horizon League conference play. Kelsey Barlow is averaging 16.6 points and 5.2 rebounds to lead the Flames. Marc Brown is averaging 12.3 points, Hayden Humes is averaging 7.2 points, and Jordan Harks is averaging 7.8 points and 4.2 rebounds. It looks like this could be a long year for the Flames.
Illinois is 7-3-3 against the spread in their last 13 games, 4-0-1 against the spread in their last five neutral site games, and 0-3-2 against the spread following a win. UIC is 6-0 against the spread in their last six games, 28-10 against the spread in their last 38 neutral site games, and 5-0 against the spread following a loss.
Normally UIC is more competitive than they are this season and while Illinois doesn’t look like a contender to win the Big Ten they do win here easily.
