Long Beach State is no stranger to a tough out of conference schedule but their record tells us the #3 SOS has been much too difficult. The 49ers need a serious boost at both ens of the floor but received a reprieve in an 82-75 decision over Montana St-Billings although it wasn't all that easy with Yellowjackets leading by six at the break. Both teams connected in the 41% range with the visitors staying close with 12 makes from long range. Tyler Lamb was the offensive star with 29 points with the duo of AJ Spencer and Mike Caffey netting 19 points each and combining for 12 pulls.

Nevada has had zero problem putting the ball in the basket but opponents have been scoring their share of points as well. The Wolf Pack have dropped five of seven after outscoring Iona 80-72 behind 51% marksmanship as the Gaels don't do defense. Iona sank shots at a 43% pace but were simply outgunned with the better shooting team sinking four more field goals. Deonte Burton paced four double digit scorers with 20 points and six helpers with Jerry Evans Jr adding 18 points and six boards while Michael Perez and Cole Huff tossed in 14 and 13 points with Huff hauling down a game high ten rebounds.
These teams haven't been the model of consistency so when I see one favored I tend to look the other way. That being the case I'll side with the points...
