The Portland Pilots look to put on a show for the crowd at the Chiles Center when the San Francisco Dons visit.
It seems as if San Francisco always has an offense that can put the ball in the basket and this season seems to be more of the same. The issue is and always seems to be stopping the opposition from putting the ball in the basket. The defense did just enough in a 77-69 decision over visiting American who sank nearly half their looks but couldn't stop the Dons who fired away at 61% which negated eleven Eagles bombs. Avry Holmes paced a balanced attack with 15 points with Tim Derksen netting 13 while Cole Dickerson totaled eleven points and six boards.

Portland has proven to be a pretty good offensive team and they likely will need to keep it up with plenty of big offensive teams in the West Coast. The Pilots have won consecutive contests following a surprising 93-79 rout of a decent Princeton squad. A 52 point second half broke open a competitive game where very little defense was played. Portland had a slight shooting edge 56%-54% but 17 Princeton turnovers and a 31-24 advantage at the charity stripe carried the home team. Bryce Pressley poured in 25 points followed by a 21 point effort from Kevin Bailey while Ryan Nicholas and Alec Wintering netted 12 points each with Nicholas grabbing nine rebounds.
I am not thrilled with San Francisco because they too many holes so Portland wins this. However I think this is too many points to ignore...
