The Cal State Fullerton Titans face the UNLV Rebels at the Thomas & Mack Center Saturday night.
It looks like the best chance for success for Cal State Fullerton is to keep the scoreboard manageable because this is not typically a big scoring offense. The Titans are trying to build some momentum after a 59-51 over Sacramento State was their third in four contests. CSF didn't light up the scoreboard on 42% but neither did the Hornets at 34.5%. The Titans won it at the stripe where they held a 15-4 advantage to help off set nine Hornets threes. Alex Harris paced the attack with 12 points and seven boards with Michael Williams netting ten points while Josh Gentry and Steve McClellan combined for 17 points.

I don't think this UNLV team will be confused with past teams that were automatically considered NCAA Tournament material but the way they have been playing lately that might change. The Rebels have been scoring and defending well on the way to five straight wins that was capped off by an 82-66 rout of Mississippi State. The Rebels held an 11-1 advantage from long range with a +10 at the charity stripe to win going away. Kevin Olekaibe led four double digit scorers with 17 points with Deville Smith adding 15 followed by Roscoe Smith and and Khem Birch with 12 and eleven points with Smith hauling in 12 rebounds.
Big spread to cover for a UNLV squad that isn't as fearsome as we have seen them. The Rebels have been great lately and will it continue?
