Scoring has been the name of the game for Loyola Marymount and it's been very successful with a 9-4 record. The points have been flowing during a three game winning streak following an 87-76 decision over visiting Brigham Young. The Lions jumped out to a 15 point lead after 20 minutes with both team hitting shots in the 42%-44% range but LMU sank five more threes and four more free throws. Evan Payne led four double digit scorers with a contest high 27 points depite 6-18 shooting while Anthony Ireland added 14 points, five yanks and nine helpers while Gabe Levin and CJ Blackwell combined for 21 points with Levin posting seven rebounds.
I don't have a strong feel for this one except to say the dog has done well in this match up. I thinl Loyola Marymount has been playing better so I'll give them the nod...
