Davis Pavilion and the UC Davis Aggies play host to the Furman Paladins in a Monday tilt.
Furman has generally struggled at both ends of the floor which explains their record. The Paladins have dropped three of four following a 90-60 defeat at California in which the Golden Bears took an 18 point lead in to the locker room and were never challenged. Cal shot the lights out at nearly 61% with ten bombs while Furman countered with 41.8% which was game over. The Paladins were led in the scoring column by William Gates Jr with 13 points followed by the duo of Stephen Croone and Larry Wideman with eleven each while Kendrec Ferrara tossed in nine.

From the looks of things UC Davis doesn't appear to be one of the elite squads in the Big West but they do appear capable of pulling an upset here and there. Overall the Aggies have shown scoring potential but need more defense to be competitive consistently. UCD knocked off Air Force 80-74 behind 51% marksmanship with the Falcons checking in at 47% with a 21-7 advantage at the charity stripe being the winning stat. Corey Hawkins led the offense with 20 points on 6-13 from the floor with Ryan Sypkens netting another 17 followed by a 12 point effort from Igor Nujic. Brynton Lemar and Clint Bozner chipped in with eight points each as the entire nine man rotation scored.
I suppose somebody has to be favored and that's UC Davis at home. I hate laying points with this team because they don't play defense but I think they win and I have to pick somebody...
