The Kansas State Wildcats host the George Washington Colonials at the Bramlage Coliseum Tuesday.
So far George Washington looks like a team to keep your eye on in the Atlantic Ten and I'm sure the rest of the conference is. The Colonials have ripped off six consecutive victories since suffering their lone defeat of the 2013-14 campaign to Marquette. GW erased a three point deficit with a second half flourish to upend Hofstra 69-58 behind 51% shooting and a defense that allowed the Pride to hit at 42% while forcind 16 turnovers. Maurice Creek led the offense with 17 points followed by Kevin Larsen with 14 points and seven boards while Kethan Savage and Isaiah Armwood tossed in 12 and nine points.

Kansas State has begun to round in to the team we have been familiar with, with decent scoring and a lock down defense. The Wildcats have rattled off seven straight wins following a 72-41 rout of Tulane as a 12 point favorite. Even though KSU connected at just 40% that was golden with the Green Wave limited to only 28% with the Wildcats totaling 25 more shots on 16 forced turnovers and 18 offensive rebounds. Shane Southwell tossed in a game high 19 points and snagged five pulls with Nigel Johnson adding another 13 and Wesley Iwundu nine. Points were not an issue with K-State emptying the bench with a big early lead.
I like both teams as a fan of the game but having said that I'm rooting for George Washington. It won't be easy being on the road and quite frankly the Colonials schedule has been weak so the team is still a mystery...
