The Youngstown State Penguins take the floor at U.S. Cellular Arena against the Milwaukee Panthers.
It seems as if Youngstown State is always challenging for a top four spot in the Horizon and with a healthy Kendrick Perry this looks like another year of the same. The Penguins tuned up for the start of the conference slate with an 85-59 romp over South Dakota as they took a 35 point lead at the break to end this from a competitive standpoint behind 48% marksmanship including ten bombs while holding the Coyotes to to 34.5% shooting and forcing 19 turnovers. Kamren Belin led the scoring with 21 points and seven pulls followed by Shawn Amiker Jr with 20 points while Perry tossed in 17 and Bobby Hain ten.

To put it mildly Milwaukee did not enjoy a banner season a year ago but a surprisingly strong 10-4 start gives reason for hope. The Panthers best chance at winning seems to be pushing the score in to the 70's and holding on. The offense didn't get the score where they wanted but the defense came through in a 67-54 decision over Alcorn State with a 40.7%-35% shooting edge being decisive when combined with seven more free throws. Kyle Kelm was a man among boys with 24 points and 12 rebounds followed by Austin Arians with 17 points and five yanks while Matt Tiby netted 14 points, eleven boards and five helpers.
This looks like a fairly even match up to me with two teams that can do some damage on the scoreboard so that has me looking at the points...
