The Line: Boston College Eagles +2 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

The Clemson Tigers travel to Boston College to play the Eagles on Saturday afternoon.

Clemson improved to 9-3 on the year after beating VMI 80-50 on Monday. Clemson shot 43.9% from the field, but only 20% from the behind the arc. The Tigers reached the free throw line 23 times and shot 78.3% from the charity stripe. Jordan Roper tied his career high with 19 points and Clemson’s staunch defense shut down one of the country’s highest scoring teams in VMI. K.J. McDaniels finished with only 7 points, all in the second half for Clemson. Rod Hall had 14 points and Adonis Filer had 12 points for Clemson. On the year, McDaniels averages a team-high 16.8 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game. Hall averages 10.8 points per game and a team-high 3.8 assists per contest. The Tigers average only 69.2 points per game and are shooting a decent 43.8% from the field this season. Clemson is a great rebounding team with a ton of size down low, pulling down over 40 boards per contest this season. This will be Clemson’s third true road game of the year; the Tigers lost their first two road games by a combined 8 points.

Joshua S. Kelly-USA TODAY Sports

The Boston College Eagles dropped to 4-10 on the year after losing to a good Harvard team 73-58 on Wednesday. The Eagles shot only 40% from the field and 30% from behind the arc. Ryan Anderson led the Eagles with 17 points and 9 rebounds, while Oliver Hanlan scored 13 points and Eddie Odio added 11. On the year, Hanlan averages a team-high 19.4 points and 3.2 assists per game for the Tigers. Anderson averages 16.2 points per game and a team-high 7.2 rebounds per contest. The Tigers average 72.1 points per game and are shooting 45% from the field. Boston College is one of the worst defensive teams in the country and they are also an awful rebounding team. The Eagles have lost six of their last seven and will try to get back on track at home this weekend.

Boston College has won the last three meetings between these two teams, including a 7 point win at home last year. Boston College might be the worst team in the ACC heading into to conference play and I don’t see them getting any better. Clemson is a strong team that can play defense well and can rebound the basketball consistently. I think the Tigers go to Boston College and win by double-digits.
