The Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks visit the Stan Sheriff center and the Hawaii Warriors Friday night at 12AM.
Nebraska-Omaha is 10-4 and off to a good start this season. The Mavericks play an uptempo style of ball and their scoring arsenal was on full display this past weekend with a 104-88 win over Central Arkansas. The Mavericks built a 50-44 halftime lead and eventually pulled away in the second half behind the scoring of John Karhoff. Karhoff finished with 28 points, 7 boards and 3 assists to lead all scorers. The Mavericks shot it at a 52% clip and knocked down a rock solid 11 threes for the game. Helping matters, Nebraska-Omaha was a very impressive 21-24 at the line for 87%.

Hawaii has started off strong this year as well and currently sit at 10-3 overall. The Warriors most recently made easy work of Norfolk State 77-66. The Warriors were paced by the play of Christian Standhardinger and Garrett Nevels. The duo combined for 50 points and 16 rebounds and the Spartans were not match for them from the jump. The Warriors finished the game an efficient 7-14 from deep and forced the Spartans into 19 turnovers on the defensive end.
These two teams have talented offenses and should get up and down in this one. The Mavericks have been hot this season but the Warriors are tough at home and the road trip is one of the longest an opponent can face. I like the Warriors at home with the cover to move to 11-3.
