The Utah Utes and the Oregon State Beavers face off on Saturday in college basketball action.
The Utah Utes battled the Oregon Ducks in the their Pac-12 opener but ended up losing a heartbreaker to take their second loss of the season. Utah is now 11-1 at home this season but they have played just the 337th ranked schedule in the country. Jordan Loveridge leads the Utes averaging 17.5 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. Delon Wright is averaging 14.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 5.6 assists, Brandon Taylor is averaging 10.8 points, and Renan Lenz is averaging 7.8 points per game. Utah is averaging 85.9 points and they are shooting 52.8 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 60.6 points and their opponents are shooting 37.2 percent. Utah has played well o both ends of the court but they haven’t done it against top-flight competition.

The Oregon State Beavers fought hard in their Pac-12 opener at Colorado but in the end they came up short against the ranked Buffaloes. OSU is 1-3 on the road this season and they have played the 82nd ranked schedule in the country. Roberto Nelson leads the Beavers averaging 21.4 points per game. Devon Collier is averaging 17.2points and 8.0 rebounds, Angus Brandt is averaging 12.1 points, and Charlie Barton and Halice Cook are each averaging 5.2 points per game. Oregon State is averaging 77.8 points and they are shooting 49.9 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 73.2 points and their opponents shoot 42.3 percent. Oregon State has been alternating wins and losses of late.
Utah is 4-1-1 against the spread in their last six Pac-12 games, 20-6-1 against the spread in their last 27 games, and 18-6 against the spread following a loss. Oregon State is 11-3-2 against the spread following a loss, 3-1-2 against the spread against the Pac-12, and 1-5-2 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread.
