The Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks visit the CFSB Center to tangle with the Murray State Racers.
I know the record doesn't say it but Tennessee-Martin has shown some improvement although we'll know if that's true once the conference schedule gets hot and heavy. The defense still has had some issues which have hurt in four consecutive defeats following an 81-68 loss at Austin Peay. The Governors hit at a red hot 51% including 8-18 on threes which was decisive with the Skyhawks sinking shots at 38%. Miles Taylor paced four DD scorers with 19 points and 14 rebounds with Justin Childs tossing in 14 while Terence Smith and Dee Oldham combined for 21 points.

I think we all know that Murray State lost loads of talent from their NCAA squad of a few years ago that challenged perfection. The Racers have shown enough scoring ability but have also given up their share of points. The offense continued to score and the D did just enough in an 82-75 decision over rival Southeast Missouri State. Both teams connected in the 44% range with a 23-14 advantage at the charity stripe being the key. Cameron Payne was the offensive star with a 23 point, six pull, five assist effort while Jarvis Williams netted 16 points and a monster 18 rebounds while TJ Sapp added 14 and Jeffery Moss nine points.
If Tennessee-Martin is improved and plays like it then I'll take the points but remember the Skyhawks might not be improved...
