The UIC Pavilion will be jumping when the Youngstown State Penguins vist the Illinois-Chicago Flames.
Youngstown State's best chance at winning is putting the ball in the basket and hope the defense can make a few stops. The offense has been scoring put getting stops hasn't been with defeats in three of four. The Penguins looked great for 20 minutes versus Green Bay but faltered late in an 85-69 loss. Green Bay simply out gunned the visitors 55%-40% and totaled 17 more looks to win going away. Bobby Hain led Youngstown State in the scoring column with 18 points and seven yanks followed by Kendrick Perry with 14 while Kamren Belin and Ryan Weber tossed in 12 and eleven points and combined for eleven boards.

Illinois-Chicago has been slow out of the gate and need to right the ship soon before they become an afterthought in the Horizon. The question for the Flames is can they squeeze more from the offense while tightening up things at the defensive end to be more competitive each time out. UIC appeared to have Valparaiso on the ropes with an eight point lead heading to the locker room before the D left the building in the final 20 minutes resulting in an 87-72 loss. The Flames shot well enough at 51% but the Crusaders were better at 57% with big advantages at the line and beyond the arc. Marc Brown paced UIC with 19 points and six pulls with Kelsey Barlow netting 13 followed Hayden Humes and Jordan Harks tossing in 12 and nine points.
Illinois-Chicago has faired well in this match up although nothing says this team is going anywhere this season. I'm torn in this one because I'm leaning Flames but not confident at all...
