The Connecticut Huskies play host to the Harvard Crimson in Wednesday night action.
Harvard appears to be among the elite in the Ivy League although crazy things do happen in that conference. The Crimson have won nine in a row following a 69-54 decision over Rice on the road that upped their record to 13-1. The visitors out shot the Owls 48%-41% and owned a decisive 21-10 advatage at the foul line. Wesley Saunders led four double digit scorers with 18 points with Brandyn Curry next in line with 16 points. Kyle Casey followed with 14 points and six helpers with Laurent Rivard and Jonah Travis combining for 19 points as only six players found the scoring column.

After suffering back to back defeats the question is will Connecticut fall out of favor in the national rankings. The Huskies will fall after dropping a 74-65 decision to SMU with the Mustangs turning a one point deficit at the half around with a strong second stanza. Southern Methodist connected at 47% compared to a chilly 36.7% from UConn which turned out to be decisive as it added up to seven more field goals in a boxscore that was fairly close other wise. Ryan Boatright paced the Connecticut scoring with 15 points followed by the combo of Lasan Kromah and Shabazz Napier with 12 points apiece and eleven rebounds while DeAndre Daniels chipped in with eleven points and five yanks.
I always say Connecticut is a tough team for me to figure out as they generally do the opposite of what I say. If that is true then the Huskies win easily...
