The George Washington Colonials visit the Tom Gola Arena to tangle with the La Salle Explorers.
George Washington has been outstanding with balanced scoring and solid defense leading the way. Their lone defeats have come when neither end of the floor has performed well although it was business as usual in a 73-55 decision over visiting Georgia where a big second half broke open a close game. The Colonials only connected at 44% but sank 12 more free throws and totaled seven more looks while forcing 20 Georgia turnovers. Kethan Savage led all scorers with 18 points and six pulls with Maurice Creek and Patricio Garino tossing in 15 and 13 points followed by three others that chipped in between 8-9 points.

In a way the Explorers 7-6 record is indicative of their numbers in which they have outscored opponents 70-68. That says there is not a whole lot of room for error although that wasn't an issue in a 76-57 rout of struggling Penn in which a 16 point lead at the half essentially put this one in the win column. La Salle won the shooting battle 44%-37.7% which equated to four more field goals with a 20-11 advantage at the stripe ending it. Jerrell Wright poured in 21 points and snared six pulls to lead the Explorers offense with Tyreek Duren and Tyrone Garland netted 14 points each followed by a ten point effort from Steve Zack.
This line looks very fishy to me. I know La Salle at home can be difficult for any team but I'm grabbing the points with a solid George Washington...
