The Central Florida Knights have the task of knocking off the Connecticut Huskies on the road Saturday.
Central Florida has fashioned themselves a solid record with a big offense leading the way that is combining with just enough defense to get the job done. The Knights rebounded from a lopsided loss to Louisville by outscoring Temple 78-76. The Knights sank shots an nearly 50% which added up to just a single basket more then Temple in a tight boxscore which was just enough. Isaiah Sykes was the big gun for Central Florida with 23 points, 15 rebounds and six helpers followed by the twosome of Kasey Wilson and Eugene McCrory with 18 points with the latter grabbing another ten boards.

Connecticut rebounded from losses to Houston and SMU to upend visiting Harvard 61-56 but unfortunately they were dropped from the national rankings. The Huskies can score the basketball and defend so they can win in any number of ways and it was their defense that carried the day versus the Crimson. The Huskies mustered a 40%-35% shooting advantage but won the game at the charity stripe by a 17-7 margin. Shabazz Napier led four double digit scorers with 18 points and seven boards followed by an 18 point effort from Ryan Boatright while DeAndre Daniels and Lasan Kromah netted eleven and nine points with 13 rebounds.
I always say I don't trust Connecticut which is true and especially so with big chalk. The numbers say the Huskies win easily but I can't play this...
