The University of Dayton Arena and the Dayton Flyers host the Saint Louis Billikens for some Saturday afternoon action.
Since falling to Wichita State, Saint Louis has been on a tear as winners in eight straight with five coming by double figures. The defensive minded Billikens needed a big performance from this unit in a 59-58 decision over Rhode Island on Wednesday as the Rams came back from an eight point deficit at the half to almost steal this one. SLU connected at only 36% but mustered ten more looks at the basket to over come the poor shooting that extended to the line where they went 12-21. Jordair Jett saved the day with a game high 31 points on 10-18 shooting with Dwayne Evans dropping eleven and snagging six boards.

It seems that Dayton flies under the radar despite always putting a competitive team on the floor year after year. The Flyers will have the occasional clunker but then they will beat dangerous Mississippi on the road which was a solid effort. UD outlasted the Rebels 83-80 in overtime behind nearly 48% from the field and eleven makes from beyond the arc which overcame 15 giveaways and 10-20 from the stripe. Devin Oliver was the offensive star with 26 points, five yanks and seven helpers followed by Dyshawn Pierre and Scoochie Smith with eleven points apiece while the duo of Matt Kavanaugh and Vee Sanford netted ten points each.
Saint Louis defends the three and Dayton loves the long ball so we are looking at a chess match here but 'm leaning to the Flyers at home...
