The George Washington Colonials face the Rhode Island Rams in an Atlantic Ten battle.
Not too awfully long ago Rhode Island was a team that depended on lighting up the scoreboard to succeed. Fast forward to the present and the defensive end of the floor rules the roost which could come in handy with some big offenses in the A-10. It was almost enough to upset Saint Louis but the offense didn't come through in a 59-58 defeat where the Billikens won despite 37% shooting. URI hit at less then 40% and received points from the entire eight man rotation but EC Matthews and Xavier Munford were the only DD contributors with 17 and 16 points.

George Washington needs to string a few wins together to rebuild confidence and get the ship pointed in the right direction. The Colonials are off to a great start but have dropped two of three after a 76-72 loss to La Salle on the road where the defense let them down with the Explorers connecting at 49% from the floor. The offense deserves some of the blame as well with 16 offensive rebounds adding up to 15 more attempts which were squandered with 38% marksmanship. The Colonials received 15 points each from Isaiah Armwood and Patricio Garino with Armwood hauling in 12 rebounds while Joe McDonald netted another 12 points. GW had several scoring options but the shots weren't falling with consistency.
George Washington is the better team and has been a cover machine when Rhode Island takes the floor. This really boils down to which Rams squad shows up with the bad one getting blown out and the good one possibly getting a cover...
