The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs host the Florida International Golden Panthers at the Thomas Assembly Center.
If Florida International is to make any noise they either need a boost in scoring or defense or both because scoring and allowing around 71 points is a tough way to make a living. The Golden Panthers ended a three game slide with a 71-60 victory over Rice in their CUSA opener. The biggest difference was shooting wwith FIU nailing half their looks while the Owls struggled to 38.6%. Tymell Murphy poured in game high 22 points with 15 rebounds with Dennis Mavin and a 16 point, nine pull performance on a combined 15-27 from the field. Three others contributed 22 points as the entire seven man rotation did some damage.

Louisiana Tech has one of the best combinations of scoring and defense in the conference and over the past few weeks their offense has been out of this world. The Bulldogs have ripped off five victories in a row after an 84-64 pummeling of Florida Atlantic with an explosive 51 point second half leading the way. Both teams sank shots in the 43% range but La Tech hauled in 19 offensive rebounds and forced 18 giveaways while leading 19-6 at the chrity stripe. Michale Kyser was the star of this one with a contest best 17 points and 12 rebounds with Alex Hamilton adding 14 points while the combo of Cordarius Johnson and Chris Anderson tossing in 12 and ten points with 12 boards between them.
This one is all about potential for me and if Louisiana Tech plays as they we have a cover and if not they just win...
