The Line: Oklahoma State Cowboys -22.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
Storyline: 9th-ranked Oklahoma State narrowly survived a 73-72 scare at West Virginia Saturday for its second straight conference victory. Meanwhile, TCU is headed in the opposite direction after dropping its third straight Big 12 contest in an 88-62 thrashing at #7 Baylor Saturday.
The Breakdown: The Cowboys were up against the ropes and in jeopardy of losing their second of three conference games to an unranked Big 12 opponent in West Virginia. But down 72-70 with 12 seconds left, senior G Markel Brown, who’d been quieted all night, decided he had something to say and drained the game-winning three-pointer. Ok State shot 27 of 60 from the field and 8 of 20 from beyond the arc to the Mountaineers' 24 of 58 and 8 of 21 from distance. Sophomore G Marcus Smart had a game-high 22 points and 13 rebounds, while junior F Le’Bryan Nash added 18 points and 6 boards on 7 of 13 shooting. On the season, the Cowboys rank 12th nationally with an average of 85.0 ppg and 14th in the country at 49 percent shooting. Smart leads the team with 17.8 ppg, followed by Brown at 16.8 ppg.

The start of TCU’s Big 12 season has seen one slim defeat and two blowout losses, including an 88-62 thrashing at then #7 Baylor Saturday. The Frogs matched the Bears with 42 percent from the field and even outshot them from beyond the arc 50 percent to 30 percent, but were dominated on the boards 54-25 and hit just 9 of 20 free throw attempts to the Baylor''s 21 of 21. Freshman F Brandon Parrish had a team-high 16 points and 6 boards, while junior G Kyan Anderson added 12 points and 7 assists. Through 15 games, TCU is averaging 68.1 ppg on 43 percent shooting and Anderson leads the team with 15.6 ppg, followed by junior F Amric Fields at 13.9 ppg.
Rick’s Pick: The line in this one is currently set at 22.5 for Oklahoma State and as hard as it is to lay down this many points, TCU doesn’t seem to be able to stay with the big boys. The Frogs did, however, lose by just 5 to WVU, who almost knocked off Ok State. It’s just a lean, but the points look more profitable right now.
