The Central Florida Knights make the long trip up the coast to face the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
Central Florida has built a decent record on their ability to put the ball in the basket altough that wasn't a winning formula in an 84-61 loss at Connecticut as both ends of the floor struggled. The Knights fell behind by eleven after 20 minutes and never recovered with only 31% shooting to lean on while the Huskies connected at 46% and owned a +15 on the glass. Isaiah Sykes led a trio of double digit scorers with 17 points followed by a 12 points, nine rebound effort from Eugene McCrory while Tristan Spurlock and Matt Williams combined for 20 points with Spurlock snagging six pulls.

Rutgers appeared to be turning things around with a three game winning streak before running in to two of the best teams in the AAC in Louisville and Cincinnati. The Scarlet Knights gave the Bearcats all they could handle as they trailed by only a basket at the half before getting buried in the final 20 minutes on the way to a 71-51 defeat. The Scarlet Knights have to score to compete but 34% from the floor and a 20 point hole at the foul line wasn't nearly enough. Myles Mack tossed in a contest best 17 points on 6-14 shooting with Kadeem Jack adding ten points and nine rebounds but nobody else was able to step up offensively with the next highest scorer posting six points.
Interesting match up here but I'm leaning to Rutgers who in my view have played a bit better this season. This is a long trip for Central Florida and hopefully it's too long...
