The Duquesne Dukes will be on the road to face instate and conference foe the St Joseph's Hawks.
Points had been plentiful for Duquesne as they built a five game winning streak but not so much in a 75-56 defeat to visiting La Salle that put an end to the good times. Without points the Dukes have their back against the wall because the defense has struggled to get stops. The Explorers connected at a red hot 53% from the floor including ten bombs while the home team hit at under 36%. Dominique McCoy led the Duquesne offense with 15 points and eleven rebounds on 5-9 shooting with the combo of Ovie Soko and Derrick Colter netting 12 points each.

St Joseph's has been playing great basketball over the past four weeks with wins in six of seven with the lone loss coming by four at Massachusetts which is nothing to hang your head about. The Hawks stayed hot with an 84-80 decision at George Mason where defense was optional behind torrid 59% marksmanship. The Patriots connected at 49% and stayed close thanks to 14 more looks at the basket and eleven makes from long range. The Hawks high scoring duo of Halil Kanacevic and Langston Galloway pumped in 23 and 20 points with 13 rebounds with DeAndre Bembry tossing in 17 points and snaring five boards while Papa Ndao added 13.
I hate backing St Joseph's as a big favorite as I don't see this team as the type that runs away with games. I'll back them if Ronald Roberts is 100% but will we really know this is the question...
