The Colorado State Rams visit the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum to face the Utah State Aggies.
Colorado State leans on their scoring and needs to get consistency from the defensive end of the floor which does appear capable. The Rams put everything together in a 76-57 rout of Fresno State behind 48% marksmanship that built an eleven point lead after 20 minutes that they continued to build through the final buzzer. The defense came through with one of their best efforts that limited the Bulldogs to a mere 34.6% from the floor. Daniel Bajarano and Jon Octeus tossed in 19 points each and grabbed 14 boards while JJ Avia and Gerson Santo netted 15 and 13 points with Avila hauling in 17 rebounds.

Utah State appears to be well armed for competing in the Mountain West with proven scoring and defense although neither has been strong enough in their 1-2 start. It was the offense that struggled in a 62-54 loss to suddenly hot Nevada. The Aggies never found the shooting touch with 31% accuracy with a 2-16 mark from long range doing them in which made the Wolf Pack's 41.8% a winner. Jarred Shaw was the only player to reach double figures with 19 points and eight boards on 7-20 shooting with Kyle Davis and Spencer Butterfield chipping in with 16 points and 16 rebounds.
Both teams have quality performances but I think Utah State is the better squad and has blowout potential. I will back the points in what looks to be a tight line...
