The Brigham Young Cougars travel to War Memorial Gymnasium to face the San Francisco Dons.
Brigham Young has begun to look like the dominant team of the past lately with potent scoring and solid defense leading to three consecutive victories by double figures. Loyola Marymount was the latest to face the hot Cougars and walked away with a 91-68 defeat with BYU exploding for 54 second half points. The Cougars connected at 51% from the floor and pulled away on the strength of a 30-8 edge at the line. Tyler Haws paced the scoring parade with 31 points with Kyle Collinsworth adding 20 points and nine boards followed by 18 from Matt Carlino and ten from Josh Sharp.

I look at San Francisco and wonder how much different they are from previous seasons and my guess is the team is the same in the way they go about things and that means plenty of scoring whenever they take the floor. Unfortunately it was Saint Mary's that did most of the scoring in an 88-73 rout that was decided by the half with the Gaels up 15. The Dons shot the ball well at 51% with SMC checking in at almost 56% with eleven bombs and 13 more free throws doing the damage. Avry Holmes led the Dons with 17 points with the twosome of Cole Dickerson and Kruize Pinkins tossing in 16 points each and grabbing 15 boards while Mark Tollefsen netted 13.
Brigham Young seems to finding the groove and San Francisco can't be counted out because of their prowess at the offensive end. On the other hand the Dons are scary because they don't play defense so I lean home team and the points but have no reason to risk money on them...
