The Line: Boise State Broncos -7.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
Boise State and Utah State will battle it out in the Taco Bell Arena in what should be a treat for college basketball fans. Both teams are sitting with 12 victories and are sleepers to the top tier teams in the Mountain West Conference.
Both teams look pretty even on paper, as they’re both scoring at least 74 points per game and shooting above 46 percent from the field. Boise State just snapped a two-game losing streak by beating Nevada and will no return home to where it holds an 8-1 record.

The Broncos are led by the dynamic Anthony Drmic, who plays both guard and forward and is averaging 19.2 points per game. The upperclassmen leadership of Derrick Marks and Ryan Watkins has also paid off, as both are also contributing at least 10 points and four boards per game. That trio is the reason Boise State is on pace to its second straight NCAA Tournament bid.
Utah State has three players who can go off on a nightly basis in Jarred Shaw, Spencer Butterfield and Preston Medlin. All three guys can fill it up from just about anywhere on the floor and shoot an incredible 80 percent from the free throw line. This consistent production has helped the Aggies win seven of their last nine games.
From a handicapping perspective, it’s tough to go against Utah State right now. The Aggies are 9-4-1 against the spread this season, while Boise State is a lousy 1-4 against the spread at home. It’s also worth mentioning that Utah State is 4-0 against the spread in its last four meetings against Boise State.
The Aggies are also holding teams to just 64.9 points per game and 41.9 percent from the field on defense, which is a lot better than the 70.2 points Boise State is giving up.
Take Utah State with high confidence.
