Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

The Clemson Tigers improved to 12-4 on the year after beating Virginia Tech 56-49 on Wednesday night. Clemson shot 40.4% from the field and 37.5% from behind the arc in the win. The Tigers reached the free-throw line 20 times and only hit 60% of their attempts. K.J. McDaniels led the Tigers with 14 points and 2 steals. Jaron Blossomgame had a team-high 7 rebounds and 1 assist. On the season, McDaniels leads the team with 16.8 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Rod Hall is averaging 10.5 points per game and averages a team-high 3.8 assists per game. Clemson is shooting only 43% from the field while scoring only 66.3 points per game as a team this season. The Tigers are a great rebounding team, pulling down 39.4 boards per contest. Clemson is one of the worst teams when it comes to distributing the basketball, averaging only 11 assists per game. The Tigers have won four out of their last five and will be at home for this game where they have only lost one game this season.

Clemson has won the last four meetings with Wake Forest, including a 16-point win at Wake Forest last year. The Tigers are playing solid basketball right now and definitely have positive momentum heading into this matchup. Wake Forest has been inconsistent most of the year and has not fared well on the road. I think Clemson gets another win at home, but Wake Forest keeps it close and covers the spread.
