The Temple Owls and the La Salle Explorers collide in a Big Five match up at The Palestra.
Temple is obviously struggling more then we are accustomed to seeing and their record says as much. The one thing the Owls do well is score the basketball but that didn't happen often enough in a 69-58 loss at Cincinnati where the game was close until the final minutes. With both teams connecting at 41%-42% the Bearcats won at the stripe with six more free throws. Dalton Pepper carried the offense with 21 points followed by a 17 point, five rebound effort from Quenton DeCosey while Anthony Lee connected for 14 points and snagged eleven rebounds.

La Salle has been has been turning it on at both ends of the floor over the past few weeks and the result has been four consecutive victories following a 72-62 decision versus visiting Rhode Island. The Explorers opened up an eleven point lead at the break and fended off several Rams comebacks behind 46% marksmanship with a 19-11 advantage at the charity stripe holding off URI. Tyreek Duren led the Explorers with 15 points with Jerrell Wright tossing in 14 points and grabbing 14 rebounds while Sam Mills and Steve Zack netted eleven points apiece with Zack snagging ten boards.
La Salle is the better team and could win going away. The problem I have with laying the points is there is going to be plenty of Temple fans at the game so not a true home game and I believe the Owls will score some. The Explorers will score as well but hopefully not too much...
