The Rutgers Scarlet Knights head to Hofheinz Arena to take the floor with the Houston Cougars.
Rutgers has their best chance of winning when they score the basketball which is a necessity because opponents score plenty of points. That trend continued in an 85-75 victory over Central Florida that evened their conference mark at 2-2. The Scarlet Knights took a nine point lead at the break and held off a late rally behind 47% shooting while limiting UCF to 36% and forcing 14 turnovers. Myles Mack paced the scoring with 25 points and eight helpers with Jerome Seagears adding 18 points followed by Junior Etou and Wally Judge with 14 and ten points with eleven rebounds between them.

Houston kicked off the conference slate at 2-0 before dropping back to back contests. Both defeats came at the hands of league powers Cincinnati and Louisville which is no shame but the way they lost to the Cardinals wasn't a pretty sight. A 91-52 defeat told the story with the home team up 29 at the break behind 51% shooting while the Cougars never found the range at less then 31%. UH also gave the ball away 15 times and were never able to mount a comeback with Louisville taking command soon after the opening tip. TaShawn Thomas paced the scoring with 16 points and eleven rebounds followed by Jherrod Stiggers and Mikhail McLean with 14 and ten points.
I think Houston has big win potential but in my view both teams are more similar then different. If true the points are the way to go...
