The Line: Fresno State Bulldogs -3.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
Two teams struggling to stay afloat in the Mountain West Conference will duke it out between Nevada and Fresno State. The Wolf Pack are 9-9 this season and winners in four of their last five, while the Bulldogs are 8-11 thanks to losing five of their last six.
The line is kind of surprising given the way Fresno State has played over the last month. Granted, a lot of those losses came to good teams such as UNLV, Boise State, San Diego State and New Mexico, but eventually a good team would end up winning one or two of those games. Nevada hasn’t exactly been world-beaters this season, but it did manage to beat UNLV on the road.

While both teams average 73 points per game, neither team really sets the nets on fire with a high shooting percentage. They also struggle to rebound and can go stretches with careless basketball and turnovers. There also isn’t much defense played between the two, as they both allow opponents to shoot a cool 45 percent from the field.
It’s safe to say that both teams are fairly even.
In contests like this, I always take the team that’s getting the points. You’d be crazy to trust Fresno State right now, and Nevada has covered six of its eight road trips this season, which includes a 4-0 against the spread record in its last four road games. And the Wolf Pack are 4-1 against the spread in their last five meetings against Fresno State.
I like the road team to not only cover, but to win this game outright.
