The Michigan Wolverines and the Iowa Hawkeyes face off on Wednesday for a Big Ten college basketball battle.
The Michigan Wolverines seem to have found their footing and after a tough start to the season they have started Big 10 conference play by winning their first five games. Michigan is 7-1 at home this season and 1-3 against teams ranked in the top 25. Nik Stauskas is averaging 18 points to lead the Wolverines. Glenn Robinson III is averaging 13.9 points and 4.3 rebounds, Caris LeVert is averaging 12 points, and Derrick Walton Jr. is averaging 8.1 points. Michigan is averaging 77.3 and they are shooting 48.8 percent while defensively they are allowing 63.5 points and their opponents are shooting 42.9 percent. Michigan is clearly playing their best basketball of the season.

The Iowa Hawkeyes have won three games in a row and are 4-1 in Big Ten college hoops action this season. Iowa is 3-3 away from home this season and they have played the 83rd ranked schedule in the country. Roy Devyn Marble leads the Hawkeyes averaging 16.3 points per game. Aaron White is averaging 14 points and 6.4 rebounds, Jarrod Uthoff is averaging 9.9 points and 5.7 rebounds, and Melsahn Basabe is averaging 7.7 points and 6.8 rebounds. Iowa is averaging 86.8 points and they are shooting 47.6 percent while defensively they are allowing 66.6 points and their opponents are shooting 37.2 percent. Iowa looks better than they have in several years.
