The Oakland Golden Grizzlies take on the Green Bay Phoenix at the Resch Center Wednesday.
Oakland has a reputation of scoring a lot of points the past several years and is also known for allowing their fair share of points. Both trends are still alive and well although the won/loss record says opponents are scoring too much. That was the case in an 86-76 loss at Cleveland State in which a late Vikings spurt carried the day. The Golden Grizzlies could not stop the home team who connected at 60% from the floor for which their own 40% couldn't compete. Tommie McCune paced the attack with 23 points and eight yanks followed by Corey Petros and his 15 points and 13 boards while Kahlil Felder added in ten points.

Green Bay might be one of the top guns in the Horizon League but with that label they have a target on their back and get the best shot opponents have. That was the case in a 69-65 decision at Illinois-Chicago in which a first half double figure lead gave way to a second half deficit before the Phoenix rallied for the win. At the final buzzer GB won it on 49% shooting which translated in to a few more field goals. The offense was a two man wrecking crew in Alec Brown and Keifer Sykes who poured in 23 and 21 points respectively with Carrington Love and Kenneth Lowe chipping in with six points apiece but production outside of this duo was limited.
Green Bay has under achieved at times and Oakland has over achieved which makes both teams more of a guess. The Phoenix are playing at home after a four game road swing and the Golden Grizzlies will be on the road for their third consective away contest so I'm leaning to Green Bay...
