The Line: Pacific Tigers -7.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
Loyola Marymount will take its act on the road Thursday night to play Pacific. The Lions just can’t wait for this season to end after losing their last six games. Unfortunately, the Tigers haven’t played any better, losing six of their last eight games.
Red flag, red flag, red flag.

Neither of these teams has played great basketball at any point during the season and the injuries continue to pile up for Loyola Marymount. Just recently Chase Flint and Ayodeji Egbeyemi were announced they’ll miss a good portion of the season for various injuries. The Lions aren’t getting much out of the players who are healthy, as the team has averaged just 69 points in the last five games and is allowing teams to shoot a cool 46 percent from the field.
Pacific has been even worse, shooting just 38.9 percent from the field during the last five games. And it’s not like either one of these teams is playing tough competition each and every night. They play in the West Coast were there’s a bunch of mediocre talent, not including Gonzaga and BYU.
To give either of these teams a steep spread seems insane. It’d be better to avoid this game altogether, but if you really want to torture yourself, I’d go with the team that’s getting the points. Let’s be honest, any team can win this contest. So, why pick the team that has to win by a large amount? Pacific has a hard time winning in general.
There’s no fancy trends here to favor this pick, and I’m not confident in it whatsoever. But for the sake of the article, give me Loyola Marymount and the points.
