Nebraska is 1-4 in the Big Ten, 0-5 on the road this season, and they have played the 13th ranked schedule in the nation. Terran Petteway is averaging 17.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game to lead the Huskers. Shavon Shields is averaging 11.4points and 5.5 rebounds and Ray Gallegos and Walter Pitchford are averaging 7.9 points each. Nebraska is averaging 69.3 points and they are shooting 43.2 percent while defensively they are allowing 67.8 points and their opponents are shooting 44.4 percent. Nebraska had a few close conference misses before breaking through.
Penn State is 1-6 against the spread against the Big Ten, 1-5 against the spread following a loss, and 1-7 against the spread in their last eight games. Nebraska is 4-1 against the spread against the Big Ten, 9-19 against the spread in their last 28 road games, and 15-36 against the spread following a win.
