The Arizona State Sun Devils and the Colorado Buffaloes face off on Saturday in Pac-12 college basketball.
The Arizona State Sun Devils knocked off Utah last time out to end a two game losing skid and to level their record at 3-3 in Pac-12 play. ASU is 10-1 at home this season and they are tied for sixth place in the Pac-12 standings. Jahii Carson leads the Sun Devils averaging 18.4 points per game. Jermaine Marshall is averaging 15 points, Jordan Bachynski is averaging 12.1 points and 9.3 rebounds, and Shaquielle McKissic is averaging 8.5 points. Arizona State is averaging 76.8 points and they are shooting 46.8 percent while defensively they are allowing 66.6 points and their opponents are shooting 40.4 percent. ASU has played the 84th ranked schedule in the nation this year.

The Colorado Buffaloes have lost three of their last four games to slip to 4-3 in Pac-12 play. CU is 3-4 away from home this season and they have played the sixth ranked schedule in the country. Josh Scott is averaging 14.3 points and 9.2 rebounds to lead the Buffaloes. Askia Booker is averaging 13.3 points, Xavier Johnson is averaging 10.3 points and 5.6 rebounds, and Wesley Gordon is averaging 6.2 points and 6.5 rebounds. Colorado is averaging 74.6 points and they are shooting 44.6 percent while defensively they are allowing 67.9 points and their opponents are shooting 42.5 percent. Colorado is still looking to fill the void left by the injury to their best player, Spencer Dinwiddie.
Arizona State is 2-5 against the spread against the Pac-12, 13-5-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, and 1-4 against the spread in their last five games against a team with a winning percentage above .600. Colorado is 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games following a game that they covered the point spread, 2-5-1 against the spread in their last eight road games against a team with a winning home record, and 4-1 against the spread in their last five Saturday games.
The line is dropping here but that is good news for us because I like Arizona State to have no problems covering the number here.
